fascination with cooking is a part of nearly everyone's traditions. i think the interesting part comes when you start to see the differences in what your family does as compared to other families. seeing the varying yet universal approaches to food helps you appreciate your own traditions even more. the recipes here are mainly from mom's swedish side although the baklava is from my father's greek father and the grape jelly & juice are mom and dad's own tradition.
